I'm impressed by Andrea's determination to stay true to this goal. Believe me, those exercises designed to improve posture are not comfortable, and I moan and groan. But that woman, Andrea, keeps pushing me, and I believe I have definitely improved my posture, my core strength, and my lower back strength. I try to wear loose shirts and pants so she can't see how hard my muscles are working (trying to cheat). But she still sees with X-ray vision. She is also acutely aware of when I try to sneak a look at my watch to see how much time I have left. And when she says those blessed words, "and we are finished for today." and I'm tired, I know I worked hard and the experience was fruitful. | "I had been doing Pilates in various disciplines for 3+ years before moving to San Diego. Earlier this year I discovered “True Pilates”, instructors certified under Romana Kryzanowska, protege of Joseph Pilates. In searching for an instructor I came upon Andrea through several referrals. I wasn’t sure I was going to be “down” with making a drive several times a week up to Solana Beach from my home in North Park but I now make the trip 2-3 times a week. Andrea is terrific. She mixes a blend of being extremely friendly and fun to be with while also getting us “down to business” and no wasted time as well as nudging me each time to do things a little better and more true. I am particularly enjoying the progress we have started seeing in my routines and “transitions” on the Reformer and really enjoy my growth in Pilates. The exceptional thing about Andrea and Pilates for me is the stress relief and also stretching but even more important the growth in my core strength and balance.
